Sunday 21 May 2017

We saw lots of eager young faces investigating what the College had to offer at Open Day 2017.  Open Day is a wonderful opportunity for families to experience first-hand our holistic learning environment that drives academic achievement and our rich co-curricular program which ensures an engaging and balanced education.”

Various activities and displays were organised for visitors of all ages, providing a unique snapshot of what it feels like to join the San Sisto community. Popular displays including the HPE – Sport and Physical Enrichment, Drama, Languages – Japanese and Italian, Textiles, Art, Science, dress-ups in the Rose Retail Shop, and the Humanities displays were busy with visitors. Our Home Economics department kept our younger visitors enthralled with girls creating their own Mr Potato Head, while a barbeque and coffee cart provide refreshment for those keen to take a rest and enjoy the Cecilia Square entertainment activities. The Science ice-cream activity and Social Justice chocolate stall also have mouths watering with their tasty flavours. Music and voice presentations of all kinds were on offer, from ensembles to busking. With the smell of food and the sound of music in the air, there was be plenty to see, experience, do, taste and listen to at Open Day 2017.
